Mr. Skoglund has over 15 years of experience of
living, studying and working in the ASEAN region. During this time
he has worked extensively with international companies, providing
them with research, feasibility studies and advice on all aspects of
creating successful business within the ASEAN region.
The professional career of Mr. Skoglund includes
working with a Thai Stock Brokerage company, where he was
instrumental in starting up the research department. Furthermore he
initiated the company’s push to provide Thai financial instruments,
mainly stocks and bonds, to European institutional investors.
Later, he left the company to start the
independent research & business advisory company Connector Asia,
together with two partners in early 1996. Mr. Skoglund, acting as
the managing director, has primarily been responsible for customer
liaisons, the business development and strategic advisory services
of Connector Asia.
He is one of only a handful of expatriates in
Thailand that has graduated from a Directors’ Certification Program
aimed at raising the level of Corporate Governance and General
Business Practices within companies listed on the Stock Exchange of
Thailand.
Apart from the above Mr. Skoglund has through the
years actively built a solid network of contacts through the
participation of the activities arranged by the various Chambers’ of
Commerce in Thailand. He is currently a director of the Thai Finnish
Chamber of Commerce as well as a director of the Rotary Club of
Bangkok South, the largest in Thailand, where he is responsible for
its community service activities.
