Connector Asia has put much effort into supporting our clients one step further
than giving advice i.e. continue with the implementation phase. As we believe
a successful implementation of change or of a new project must come from within
the organisation, our role has been to support the management in various ways
over a longer period of time, develop the internal structure and organisation,
initiate efficient procedures and routines, provide evaluation assistance etc. Sometimes, owners do not have the necessary manpower to control all aspects of its company's finances and operations to the extent they would like to. As has been the case of one of our clients, the owner has not even been in the country. In this particular case, Connector Asia was commissioned to look after the owners interests in the local joint venture company. The control function can vary depending on the owner's needs. It could for example be acting as a finance director with direct control over the daily company transaction or as a part of a board's audit committee. This control function often involves thorough analysis of the financial status as well as overseeing other processes within the company in question on an ongoing basis.
